THE ROLE

The main areas of responsibility for this role include: Client strategy and planning; Campaign delivery; Staff management and mentoring; Client profitability and new business pitching contribution.

  • Develop communication strategies and programs for clients

  • Participate and lead brainstorming sessions

  • Create professional client strategy documentation in line with agency templates

  • Mentor and coach junior and showroom staff members to contribute to client plans

  • Implement PR plans including editorial, activations, sponsorships, events, social media and other activities 

  • Research and draft media releases and write a wide range of media materials

  • Develop media strategy and news angles and pitch to relevant media

  • Form and maintain strong relationships with media network

  • Follow media trends and report them to clients and junior staff

  • Develop and implement client event concepts – including client liaison, facilitating partnerships, creative concepts, event execution, debriefing and event evaluation

  • Assistance in sourcing, negotiating and leveraging client sponsorships as part of the PR mix

  • Monitor media for potential client relevant issues: interpret and report to clients

  • Assess opportunities to value-add to client plans and results

  • Set KPIs and measures for clients

  • Ensure client media coverage KPIs are met and manage client expectations around these

  • Manage the delivery of monthly client reports or activity statements including breakdown of activity, reporting against targets

  • Assist with regular agency / client reviews
