Extensive experience in contemporary or luxury fashion is essential.
Minimum 5 years’ experience specialising in women’s tailoring, dresses & knitwear.
Strong understanding of garment construction & patterns making across categories.
Experience working in factories in China and India.
Able to work in a collaborative approach across departments, open to constructive feedback and be pro-active.
Support the maintenance of a collaborative, positive & organised workspace.
Excellent attention to detail.
Highly organised and numerical with excellent problem-solving skills.

THE ROLE
As the Senior Garment Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the technical accuracy, quality, and fit of garments from concept through to production.
Create detailed specs, make notes & sample requests for offshore sampling.
Follow direction from Creative Director & Senior Designers to ensure accurate translation of design concepts into production ready garments.
Work along Product Development to ensure all BOM’s, design details, make notes & specs are correct for each individual style & all comments are clearly communicated for factory understanding.
Responsible for preparing all samples prior to fitting.
Flag any variance in size before fitting & ensure the factory is informed where appropriate.
Attend fittings to provide technical expertise, (pattern alterations & fit analysis).
Update specs correctly & provide clear detailed technical instructions for the factory to follow.
Ensure measurements are consistent across styles, categories & the supplier base.
Collaborate with Design, Production teams to promptly address technical and quality concerns in sampling, bulk production, and faulty returned garments, minimising delays.
Support the factories to solve specific construction, pattern, measurements queries in-line with the brands Standards.
Provide accurate grading information for each garment.
Report on quality, faults and production each season detailing each factory performance against target.
