Bachelors degree in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, or related field (highly regarded).
Bring prior Garment Technician experience in the fashion industry (requirement)
Understanding of garment construction techniques, pattern making and technical specs.
Experience with knitwear and denim (highly regarded)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, maintaining garment specifications and tech packs.
Knowledge of garment manufacturing process including pattern making, grading and fitting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work cross-collaboratively.

The Role
Relocate to beautiful Brisbane and make your mark as a senior garment tech for a growing Australian design brand.
The Senior Garment Technician is responsible for finalising specs and tech packs of their assigned product lines. This position is the last point of contact for all specification communication to suppliers.
Request shipment samples from relevant factories, ensuring they are accurate in both construction and sizing.
Maintain a strong understanding of supplier lead times to meet approval deadlines and delivery targets.
Update Excel tech packs with all necessary garment details.
Effectively communicate all garment approvals clearly to ensure factory alignment.
Approving garment samples promptly, ensuring functionality, accuracy and colour consistency.
Ensure all care labels are correctly specified and positioned on garments.
Tracking development of each style to ensure timing alignment with Critical Path.
Collaborate with suppliers to develop samples while proactively recognising any issues for production.
Owning weekly fittings from a garment fit and construction lens.
