SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO?

Wondering whether it’s quitting time? We’re seasoned experts. We chat to thousands of candidates each year about making that next career move, and we’ve learned a thing or too through those conversations

If you’re on the fence, here’s a quick checklist to help you decide. Work your way through, and sister, if more than a couple of these ring true, it might be time to explore something new.

1. Does the culture feel wrong?

You’ll know you’re in the wrong place if …

  • You dread the week ahead every Sunday night (Sunday Scaries)

  • Your values and the company’s don’t align.

  • Work-life balance is non-existent or harming your health.

2. Growth Has Stalled

You’ll know this has happened if:

  • There’s no clear path forward.

  • Promotions keep passing you by.

  • You’re not learning or experiencing ownership in your role, but feel truly ready for a new challenge.

3. Money Isn’t Reflecting Your Value

  • Your salary hasn’t kept pace with your skills, increased responsibilities and the market.

  • Your responsibilities have increased and you are managing the work (or partial work)

  • Company instability is putting your future at risk.

In short: if your job drains you, blocks your progress, or no longer feels aligned with who you are and where you’re headed, it may be time to make your next move — thoughtfully, not rashly (and with us, of course).

If you’re feeling ready to start the job search, passively or with an active application, your career connoisseurs await. Connect with your recruiter of choice, or create your profile for roles to start hitting your inbox, courtesy of us.
