Hold 1-3 years in a design, product development, or atelier environment.
Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and creative vision.
High-level illustration and technical drawing skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues across departments.
Detail-oriented with a passion for excellence in design.

The Role
Our client is seeking a Design Assistant to join their atelier and work alongside the Creative Director, bringing each couture, bridal, and RTW collection to life. This is an incredible & rare opportunity to contribute to a leading Australian atelier with global recognition.
Key responsibilities
Work closely and collaborate with The Creative Director and the in house atelier team on research, concept development, and design creation across couture, bridal, and ready-to-wear collections.
Support embroidery, fabric, and embellishment design liaising with suppliers to develop bespoke materials that elevate every piece.
Create mood boards, spec sheets, and technical packs that capture and communicate the creative vision.
Partner with production and atelier teams to ensure design integrity from concept to completion.
Assist in fittings and product development, ensuring every garment embodies the brand's standard of excellence.
Maintain sample archives and the digital fabric library, preserving the threads of the brand story for future collections.
