  • • Proven ecommerce experience within fashion, luxury, premium, contemporary or lifestyle brands.

    • Strong Shopify or Shopify Plus experience preferred.

    • Strong understanding of ecommerce trading, site merchandising, conversion optimisation and digital customer experience.

    • Experience managing or working closely with paid media agencies across Meta, Google, TikTok, affiliate and retargeting channels.

    • Strong CRM/email/SMS experience, ideally with Klaviyo or similar platforms.

    • Strong analytical skills across GA4, Shopify Analytics, Triple Whale, Northbeam, Looker Studio or similar reporting tools.

    • Experience with ecommerce product launches, collection drops, international trading and seasonal calendars.

    • Strong understanding of inventory, sell-through, stock depth, returns, fulfilment and operational impact on ecommerce performance.

    • Experience managing external agencies, developers, platforms and digital partners.

    • Strong commercial judgement and ability to turn analysis into action.

    • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly commercial, hands-on and performance-driven Head of Digital to lead and grow our client's global direct-to-consumer ecommerce business.

This role is ideal for someone who has strong ecommerce management experience and is ready to step into a broader leadership position, or someone already operating atHead of Digital level who is still highly operational and comfortable being close to the detail. 

The role requires a strong commercial operator who understands luxury or premium fashion ecommerce, knows how to trade a website daily, can work closely with marketing, merchandising, production, wholesale and operations, and is confident owning revenue outcomes.


Ecommerce Strategy & Planning

 Define and lead the global ecommerce strategy across all digital channels.

 Build and manage annual and seasonal sales forecasts by market, category and channel.

 Own the ecommerce OPEX budget, including paid media, platforms, agencies and tools.

 Set revenue targets and establish clear plans to achieve them.
 Work closely with Finance to communicate sales performance tracking versus forecast and identify any risks to meeting plan.

 Align digital strategy with merchandising, marketing and wholesale priorities.


Ecommerce Trading & Revenue Growth

 Own the day-to-day trading and commercial performance of the ecommerce business across Australia, the US and international markets.

 Drive revenue, conversion rate, average order value, customer acquisition, retention, sell-through, full-price sales and margin performance

 Trade the website proactively, including homepage updates, product sequencing, collection merchandising, product visibility, category performance, search results, navigation, cross-sells, upsells and product recommendations.

 Build and manage ecommerce trading calendars aligned to product drops, collection launches, runway moments, wholesale deliveries, marketing campaigns, PR moments, gifting, VIP activity and seasonal events.

 Develop and execute promotional, CRM and customer incentive strategies that protect brand equity while driving commercial outcomes.


Site Merchandising & Customer Experience

 Own the onsite customer journey and ensure the website reflects the brand’s luxury positioning while also being commercially effective.

 Optimise product discovery across navigation, filters, search, collections, merchandising rules and editorial content.

 Review site analytics to identify friction points across the customer journey, including bounce rate, add-to-cart rate, checkout conversion, product page performance and abandoned carts.

 Lead ongoing improvements to site experience, mobile performance, speed, UX, checkout flow and conversion rate optimisation.


Performance Marketing & Acquisition

 Work closely with the marketing team and external agencies to drive efficient customer acquisition across Meta, Google, TikTok, affiliates, paid search, shopping, retargeting and other performance channels.

 Ensure paid media strategy is directly connected to trading priorities, stock availability, margin, product performance and customer demand.


CRM, Retention & Customer Growth

 Own the ecommerce CRM strategy across email, SMS and customer lifecycle activity.

 Develop and optimise flows including welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, back-in-stock, wish list, VIP, win-back and product education.

 Drive customer retention, repeat purchase, customer lifetime value, segmentation, VIP engagement and database growth.

 Work with marketing to create compelling email and SMS campaigns that balance brand storytelling with clear commercial outcomes.
