THE ROLE
The Stockroom Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of the stockroom to ensure accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing stock, maintaining appropriate stock levels, and keeping the sales floor replenished to company standards. This role ensures the stockroom remains clean, organised, and well maintained to support efficient operations and maximise product availability and sales. The Stockroom Manager also provides support to the sales team by assisting with customer service and sales activities as required.
Key Responsibilities
Incoming Stock: Receive, process, and replenish incoming stock promptly, ensuring products are correctly hung, sized, colour ordered, and excess stock is organised and labelled for efficient storage.
Stock Maintenance: Maintain a well-organised stockroom by grouping similar products, labelling merchandise, reworking stock as required, and ensuring equipment, accessories, and display items are stored correctly.
Stockroom Procedures: Manage daily stockroom operations, including replenishment, transfers, documentation, markdowns, in-transit reporting, and stocktake preparation to ensure inventory accuracy.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe stockroom by completing daily cleaning tasks, removing waste, keeping storage areas tidy, and ensuring compliance with workplace safety standards.
General Duties: Keep workspaces organised, monitor stationery and equipment levels, communicate operational requirements, and ensure stockroom administration is completed accurately and on time.
Team Communication: Maintain effective communication with the store team by providing stock updates, supporting operational needs, and escalating issues to the Store Manager as required.
Personal Development: Take ownership of ongoing learning by completing required training and actively developing product knowledge and operational skills.
Time Management: Manage workload and time effectively to meet operational deadlines, maintain productivity, and adhere to rostered work and break times.
Health & Safety: Comply with health and safety policies, identify and report hazards or incidents, and contribute to a safe working environment for the team.
