The Role

As Design Developer, you have the unique opportunity to contribute to the brand's legacy of crafting contemporary fashion with artisanal integrity and a sustainable mindset. Your technical and creative know-how will be woven into the fabric of their collections, leaving an indelible mark on the world of fashion.
Key responsibilities
Execution of Design RTW: Support the design team in executing sample collections across all apparel categories in line with the range plan and critical path. Creating CADS and developments that reflect the brand's aesthetic through thoughtful detail, colour, and craftsmanship.
Create Together: Collaborate closely with design, textile and technical teams to craft designs that are true to the creative vision of the seasonal collections and align with the brand's unique aesthetic.
Sourcing and Development: Draw from the themes and concepts set by the design team to create tangible items to assist the design and sampling process. In line with the seasonal concepts and inspirations, source and develop fabrics, trims, finishes and accessories to keep the brand evolving and innovating.
Design Handover: liaise across design, patternmaking and art teams to deliver design handovers by the due dates to ensure the critical path is met and allow other teams the time they need to deliver their part of the collections smoothly. Work closely within the team and existing vendor base to ensure design execution is feasible, with costs, materials and components considered.
Fittings & Development: Attend fittings and provide clear, considered comments to ensure design intent is maintained from sketch to final garment.
Follow Through: Take ownership of the design execution, following up to make sure tasks are completed on time and to standard.
Technical Excellence: Demonstrate strong technical knowledge in garment construction, ensuring styles are beautifully executed and feasible in production.
Project Management: Manage the execution of multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines to support the timely delivery of collections.
Flexibility: Adapt to evolving design briefs and project requirements, approaching challenges with creativity and a solutions mindset.
