You'll drive the design lifecycle from research and ideation through to final sample handover—balancing innovation with commercial viability. This role demands a strong eye for detail, a deep understanding of upcoming trends, and the ability to create cohesive collections that reflect and elevate the brand’s evolving identity across both retail and eCommerce channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner closely with the CEO, Product, Design & Buying teams to define the creative direction for each season.
Undertake market and trend analysis to ensure collections are both relevant and reflective of the brand’s DNA.
Review historical data and past collections to inform design direction and brand evolution.
Play an active role in shaping and refining the brand’s narrative, purpose, and core values.
Develop seasonal mood boards, colour stories, and design concepts in response to briefs and overarching themes.
Select and source fabrics, trims, and prints that support the creative vision while meeting cost parameters.
Design seasonal ranges that align with range plans, option counts, and pricing architecture.
Create detailed CADs, tech packs, and specification sheets for production and cost evaluations.
Lead the sampling process from initial fit through to final approval and production readiness.
Analyse sell-through data and product performance to guide future collection planning.
Ensure each design meets margin requirements and recommended retail pricing structures.
Work cross-functionally with internal teams across production, design, and sales to support smooth end-to-end execution.
